While walking home during one February evening this year, I took some photos with my old Sony DCS-T200 camera. I received it as a gift for my business trip to London in the UK approximately 21 years ago! I went there to attend the Six Sigma 2004 Summit. This event was exclusively dedicated to quality management in business.
But let’s get back to the camera model. You are probably surprised but it still works very well and offers pretty decent and modern digital solutions like:
- 3.5″ wide screen touch panel LCD
- Face detection and smile shutter
- Carl Zeiss 5x optical zoom
- Full HD 1080
As they say, actions speak louder than words. Here are some photos of this particular Sony camera model taken with my Samsung S20 FE smartphone.

That was the Sony camera model itself and below, please enjoy the photos from the above mentioned evening walk. It was completely dark outside. So, the Sony camera tried to compensate with longer exposure times. This contributed to some creativity which made the photos look like paintings. What is interesting the photos got some greenish flavour which is apparently specific for the cameras from the early 2000s.

The photos were taken in the east residential city district of Lodz, which is called Olechow. It is approximately 24 minutes by car to get to Piotrkowska Street which is in the heart of the city.
