It has been more than a year since the breakout of the Covid-19 pandemy. We all suffered. It is still is a tragedy for many families that lost their relatives and friends. People were advised to isolate, keep the social distance and preferably stay at home. All those things are against the human nature and somehow affected our mental health.
Ironically this pandemy created some unique photo shooting opportunities. I remember the above photo of Piotrkowska Street I took in March/April 2020. This street is one of the longest shopping destinations in Europe. It usually benefits from the crowds visiting shops, restaurants, bars, cafes, and people trying to socialize. They also join in different cultural events.
Yet, this day last year was different. You hardly spot any people. There was no traffic at all. It was raining a couple of minutes before taking the photo. I took my camera and captured this beautiful picture. The building was colorful and beautiful. The wet street surface created amazing reflections. I stood in the middle of the street and was not worried about any road traffic as there was none.
